Audit Implementation

What to Expect

Now that the audit findings have been reviewed and the recommended scope has been approved, we can move forward with the remediation phase. During this stage, our team will implement the agreed-upon improvements to bring the website fully in line with our standards. Please note that if any significant changes have been made to the site since the audit was completed, it’s important to let us know in advance, as this may impact the implementation timeline or cost.

Two Types of Action Items

Red Action (required)

All findings identified as required or flagged as critical within the audit report will be addressed during the audit implementation phase. These items are necessary to ensure the website meets stability, performance, and security standards. Any exclusions explicitly documented in the audit report, theme discovery materials, or the approved Statement of Work (SOW) are not included.

Recommendations (optional)

Any remaining findings or recommendations in the audit report are considered non-mandatory. We will make a best-effort attempt to address these items during the audit implementation phase within the approved scope. If certain items prove complex or exceed the allotted time, they may be deferred and revisited once the site has transitioned into ongoing management and support.

Staging Site Preparation

To ensure a smooth and predictable implementation, Inspry will coordinate with your team to establish a temporary feature freeze during the audit remediation phase. During this time, configuration changes, plugin installations, and code or design modifications should be paused. This minimizes the risk of data conflicts, regressions, or unexpected behavior resulting from changes made after the audit was completed.

Routine site activity such as content updates, customer orders, and other dynamic data may continue uninterrupted and will not be impacted. Once the freeze is in place, we will create a full replica of the live site, including files and database, within a secure staging environment hosted by Inspry or an approved hosting provider. All audit-related fixes and validations will be completed and tested in this isolated environment prior to deployment to production.

QA and Client Review

After Inspry completes remediation work on the staging environment and performs internal quality assurance, your team will be invited to review the updates. This review phase includes validating core site functionality such as form submissions, checkout flows, search behavior, and user authentication.

Once approval is received, the finalized changes will be carefully re-implemented on the live production site. This two-step approach ensures accuracy while preserving live data and avoiding disruption to users.

Page Speed Optimization

Performance improvements are evaluated during the audit process; however, specific load times or PageSpeed scores are not guaranteed as part of the audit implementation. Additional optimization efforts may require separate retainer hours or a dedicated scope of work.

Live Site Implementation and Hosting Migration

If no hosting changes are required, the approved audit updates will be deployed directly to the live site following client sign-off. If a hosting migration to Inspry or another approved provider is needed, a scheduled maintenance window will be coordinated in advance. This window typically occurs between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET and generally lasts up to two hours, during which a maintenance notice may be visible to site visitors. After the migration is completed, the audit updates will be re-applied to the production environment. Depending on the scope and complexity of the changes, brief interruptions may occur; however, core business functionality such as form submissions and checkout will remain available whenever possible. Once deployment is complete, Inspry will perform final quality assurance, followed by client review and approval. Afterward, we recommend that the client’s marketing and SEO teams conduct their own review to identify any additional considerations.

Managed Services Enrollment

After the audit and all related reviews are completed, the Client may elect to transition into Inspry’s ongoing WordPress maintenance and hosting services. Enrollment in this program provides continuous technical support and access to monthly retainer-based tasks. Requests can be submitted via email or tracked within a shared Google spreadsheet provided by Inspry.

Frequently Asked Questions

We take the findings from your WordPress audit and execute them. That typically means removing unused plugins and themes, updating outdated software, fixing security vulnerabilities, improving page load performance, correcting coding standards violations, and configuring proper backups and monitoring.

Most WordPress audit implementations are completed in typically 1 to 2 weeks. The timeline depends on how many issues were flagged and their complexity. We provide a prioritized action plan so critical fixes go live first and lower-priority improvements follow.

We do all work on a staging environment and push changes to production only after testing. Most changes go live with zero downtime. In cases where a server configuration change or database migration is needed, we schedule a maintenance window during low-traffic hours and notify you in advance.
