Audit Implementation

What to Expect

We have reviewed the audit report, and you have approved the effort required to bring the website up to standard. Now, it’s time to implement the changes through our formal remediation process. If any major changes have occurred on the site since the audit report was generated, please let our team know as this could affect the cost and timing of the implementation.

Two Types of Action Items

Red Action (required)

All issues or action items marked as required or highlighted in red in the audit will be implemented as part of the audit implementation process, as these are crucial for maintaining a stable website. This excludes any items specifically noted as exceptions within the audit report, theme discovery document or statement of work (SOW).

Recommendations (optional)

All other issues or recommendations in the audit report are considered optional. Our team will attempt to address these items during the audit implementation within the allocated time. However, if we encounter any difficulties, we may defer these issues and revisit them once we have transitioned to ongoing management services.

Staging Site Preparation

Inspry will coordinate with your team to establish a temporary feature freeze while audit updates are being implemented. During this period, no changes should be made to theme code, apps, or store configuration to prevent conflicts, data loss, or unexpected issues after the audit findings are finalized. Ongoing store activity, including orders, content updates, and other day-to-day operations, will continue as normal and will not be impacted.

Once the freeze is in place, we will create a copy of the current production Shopify store using a staging or preview environment. This allows us to safely implement and test the approved audit action items in an isolated setting before any changes are applied to the live store, ensuring stability and minimizing risk.

QA and Client Review

After the approved updates have been completed in the staging or preview environment and reviewed internally by Inspry, your team will be invited to perform a full review of the store. This includes validating key storefront and admin workflows such as checkout, forms, search, and customer account access. Once everything has been confirmed, the same changes will be carefully deployed to the live Shopify store to ensure a smooth release without impacting active data or orders.

Page Speed Optimization

Site performance is evaluated during the audit process, but no specific speed benchmarks or PageSpeed targets are promised as part of the implementation. Further performance enhancements may be handled through additional retainer work or a standalone project.

Live Site Implementation

If no infrastructure changes are required, the approved audit updates will be applied directly to the live Shopify store following client sign-off, as outlined above. When changes affect core theme files, apps, or checkout-related functionality, we may coordinate a brief maintenance window to minimize risk and customer impact. During this time, limited storefront interruptions may occur, though essential store operations such as orders and content updates will continue as expected.

The timing of live implementation depends on the complexity of the approved changes. Inspry will apply updates carefully to ensure store stability and data integrity throughout the process. After deployment, both Inspry and the Client will complete a final review to confirm functionality and results. Once the audit implementation is complete, we recommend that the client’s marketing and SEO teams perform a follow-up review to identify any additional considerations or opportunities.

Managed Services Enrollment

After the audit and final reviews are complete, the client may choose to enroll in Inspry’s Shopify support and maintenance program. This provides ongoing access to our team for continued support, improvements, and planned enhancements through a retainer-based engagement. Requests can be submitted via email or tracked through a shared Google spreadsheet provided by Inspry to ensure clear prioritization and visibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

We execute the recommendations from your Shopify audit. That typically covers theme code cleanup, unused app removal, page speed optimization, Liquid template fixes, structured data corrections, checkout configuration improvements, and any app replacements flagged during the audit.

Most Shopify implementations wrap up in typically 2 to 4 weeks. Shopify’s hosted infrastructure means server-side work is minimal, so the focus is on theme code, apps, and configuration. We provide a phased plan with priorities before starting.

Yes. If the audit identified apps that are slowing down your store, duplicating functionality, or creating conflicts, we will recommend alternatives and handle the swap. We migrate any data or configuration from the old app and test the replacement thoroughly before removing the original.
